The Training Barn’s Country & Equestrian Photographer of the Year 2025 celebrates creativity, storytelling, and emotion within equestrian and country photography.
Open to photographers aged 18 and over, this independent competition invites you to share your best image for a chance to win over £1,500 in prizes and be crowned The Training Barn’s Country & Equestrian Photographer of the Year 2025.
The Prizes
The overall winner of The Training Barn’s Country & Equestrian Photographer of the Year 2025 will receive a 1 to 1 in person studio day with Emily Hancock and Hannah Freeland at The Training Barn. This experience, worth £895, offers creative mentoring and portfolio development designed to elevate your business to the next level.

The title of The Training Barn’s Equine Photographer of the Year 2023 was awarded to Anne Marie Smith for this beautifully tender image of two horses gently speaking to each other.
Anne Marie’s photograph captured everything the judges look for: emotion, storytelling, and artistry in perfect balance. It reflects the true heart of this competition and the incredible creativity within our equine photography community.
We cannot wait to see the images shared for the 2025 awards.
Entries are open to those aged 18 and over. You may submit images into any of the following categories. Each image entered must sit within one category and requires its own entry submission.

Each entry will be judged within its category, with Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards awarded throughout.
One overall winner will be chosen from all submissions to receive The Training Barn’s Country and Equestrian Photographer of the Year 2025 title.

Entering The Training Barn’s Country and Equestrian Photographer of the Year 2025 is simple. Each image entered costs £10 (discounted for ECC Members) and you may submit as many images as you wish. Every image requires its own individual entry and payment. Equine Creative Club Members receive a 15 percent discount, with their private entry link available inside the Club portal. When you are ready to enter, please choose the correct link below.
Entrants must select the most suitable category; organisers reserve the right to reassign if necessary.
Overall Winner Prize Package (valued over £1,500):
The prize package will be awarded to the Overall Winner.
Category Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit awards will be announced on The Training Barn’s social media and tagged accordingly.
Award recipients may describe themselves as, for example, “Gold Award Winner – The Training Barn Photographer of the Year 2025.”
Prizes are non-transferable and must be claimed within 12 months of announcement.
Judging takes place on Friday 5 December 2025.
Our panel brings together artistry, technical excellence, and deep understanding of equine and country photography. Each judge offers a unique perspective on creativity, storytelling, and professional presentation.
