We have 6 locations that have been hand picked by Emily and Hannah including a typical Portuguese stud yard.
Freedom
We have sourced highly trained Lusitano stallions who will run free in our chosen locations to capture the beauty and movement of these majestic beasts.
Creative Space
This is your time to experiment over 6 different photo shoots with the expertise of 2 sought after equine photographers on hand.
Here's Whats Included
Join us for 5 days in May when we are hosting 6 photo shoots in and around the most beautiful West Portuguese village. We have sourced a stunning yard location, fields, woodlands, indoor and outdoor schools and the most fabulous castle! Along with these locations we have Lusitano Stallions, Mares and Foals who will be modelling with and without their humans.

What's The Plan?
18th May 2020 - 22nd May 2020
Monday: Arrive in Lisbon and join our 'Get To Know You' Dinner together on Monday evening.
Tuesday: 2 Creative shoots at a traditional Portuguese stallion stud yard, including a portrait style horse & human session and a freedom session with stallions in an outdoor school. We will also have a mini workshop in the afternoon in between the shoots. Meals will be eaten together to discuss the shoots and to ask questions.
Wednesday: 2 Creative shoots - this time with a herd of mares, foals and more stallions in magical woodland and field locations. We will use the natural morning and evening light to enhance these creative sessions. These will be with models for more horse and human portraits to capture the beautiful bond between them plus freedom shots of horses only. Meals will be eaten together to discuss the shoots and to ask questions.
Thursday: This will be something truly special, we have the location dreams are made of, a traditional castle with draw bridges, beautiful architecture and cobbled streets. We will have the stallions and models posing in and around the castle, the models will also be dressed in traditional Portuguese dress. Thursday evening will be our roundup session. Meals will be eaten together to discuss the shoots and to ask questions.
Friday: The day to say goodbye. We will arrange transfers back to Lisbon Airport.
Investment
We have created an 'Inclusive' package for our adventurers who will be joining us. We don't want you continually putting your hand in your pocket, therefore we have 1 price and 1 package. The only thing you need to pay for is your flights and alcoholic drinks if you would like them on the trip.

- 1:1 Sessions with Emily or Hannah
Absolutely not. This is a workshop that concentrates solely on creativity. Emily & Hannah will both be on hand to help anyone with their camera settings, composition, lighting or anything else they maybe struggling with, but this is an immersive and creative getaway.
Again, absolutely not, if you would like to come and join like minded people, meet and watch breath taking horses running around and showing off their skills with your first DSLR camera and small lens, then you are most welcome. You can also hire kit for this adventure - please ask the Training Barn angels for more details. We will have a mixture of professional photographers and hobbiest and everyones outcome from this trip will be different - make it your own!
It's important to get Travel Insurance. If you need to cancel your attendance to this course we have a strict cancellation policy so it's imperative you are insured against unforeseen circumstances and delays. Please see below for our Cancellation Policy.
If we need to cancel the course due to decisions taken out of our hands, i.e The Coronavirus we will refund course fees but cannot be held liable for travel, flight and other expenses.
Of course you can, but they do need to purchase a spot on the adventure.
We have secured model and property releases for the shoots. Therefore you are free to create a collection for sale from this course - isn't that a bonus?!
Yes, Emily and Hannah will be on hand for every shoot and afterwards to help with any issues with regards to photography. This is not a business course so we will be focusing on the images and creative process.
Terms Of Booking
By signing up and paying your 50% deposit you are agreeing to pay the remaining balance at least 30 days before the workshop.
You will be securing your place on the course by paying your deposit therefore we will be turning others away, we ask that you are 100% sure you will be able to pay the remaining balance in good time.
Cancellation Policy
This course has been long awaited and will be highly sought after, therefore we have a strict cancellation policy and will take effect no matter the circumstances.
We will only offer a refund if we need to cancel the course, otherwise full payment will be required, even if you won't be able to join us. Please make sure you get travel insurance to cover all eventualities.
If we need to cancel the course because of circumstances beyond our control, i.e: acts of war, Coronavirus, acts of god etc we cannot be held liable for cost of flights, please ensure you have suitable travel insurance for this.
