Our hugely popular annual competition is back again, and the prize is bigger than ever!

This is your chance to showcase your best work, gain recognition and have the opportunity to win an incredible prize worth £695 in equine photography training!

The winner of this competition will receive a place on our BRAND NEW Advanced Business Online Course running on the 29th - 31st January 2024. 

Whether you are a budding photographer or an established professional, this competition is open to all. Images must be equine in nature but there is no restrictions on genre, from exhilarating action images to peaceful portraits. 

Entry is £10 per person and you can upload up to 5 of your best images to be judged by a panel of 4 expert judges with Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates, with the overall winner to be announced on Wednesday 29th November.

What are we looking for? 

In addition to images that are well composed, carefully edited and showcase the beauty of horses, we also are looking for images that show emotion, connection and make an impact. Images need to be equine in theme but can be fine art, at liberty, action, behind the scenes or portrait.

Make sure to carefully read the Terms & Conditions below otherwise you risk your entry being automatically denied.

Terms and Conditions for Training Barn's 2023 Photography Competition:

IMAGE SUBMISSION DEADLINE 28TH NOVEMBER

JUDGING WILL BE 29TH NOVEMBER

WINNER ANNOUNCED 29TH NOVEMBER 

  1. Entry is £10 per person
  2. Each entrant may upload 5 images
  3. Images must be submitted as digital files
  4. You must use the link we send you via email after we have received your entry fee. Images sent via email, WeTransfer or Dropbox will not be accepted
  5. The images must be equine themed
  6. Images must be at least 2000px on the long side
  7. Images must be no larger than 5MB
  8. Images must be in JPEG format
  9. No images taken on any photography workshops should be submitted
  10. Submitted images must be entirely the work of the entrant.
  11. No watermarks permitted on images.
  12. Post-processing is allowed but cannot be outsourced
  13. Images should be named: FirstName_LastName_ImageNumber.jpeg
  14. The prize worth £695 is for a place on our Advanced Business Online Course on January 29th - 31st. If you are unable to attend the course in real time, you will still receive the full recording of the 3 day course worth £695  
  15. The £695 credit cannot be redeemed for cash, refund of previous purchases or transferred to another photographer
  16. The credit must be used within 12 months
  17. Entries will be judged by a panel of 4 expert judges
  18. Their decision is final and will be published in the Training Barn's newsletter, social media and on our website.
  19. By submitting images, you agree to allow them to be used, with full credit, for promotional content for the competition on the Training Barn's digital platforms.
